I liked this site because it was easy and I was just practicing my skills because I already knew all of the things I was doing on this site. I don’t think it was meant for upper grades .The people that would benefit from this site would probably be kids from 4-6 grade people because the site games were very easy for me. This would especially not be good for our class being in AEP and ADV. They could probably improve the site by making a table so you can click on your grade level and you can work on the things you are supposed to know for your grade level. What was good about the site was that it was fun from the things that happened when you would click on something, but at the same time you would be doing math, like when builder bob would move the bricks. I would love t play these games if they were more challenging, because playing them right now seems like a waist of time.

I didn’t like the site or dislike it. I thought the site was kind of boring, because it didn’t have anything except the questions and answer place, but they are teaching you a lot of good skills for math. Third through seventh graders would benefit from this site because the tests they have available are for kids ranging through the ages of 3rd through 7th graders, and I think they are in range of the curriculum the kids are studying, so it would help them. What was good about the site was that it got right to the point, and it didn’t dilly dally with cool animation or anything. It’s also good, because it teaches the stuff, then gives you a test on it so you can be sure you learned the stuff you were just taught.

I liked this site because it was loaded with all these answers about fractions, and if you were learning fractions this would be a great source to look at. The people that would benefit form the site would be people that are trying to learn fractions, and want to understand them better, or people that just want to learn more about fractions than they already do. What was good about the site was that it taught you a lot of stuff about fractions, and added a bit of animation to make the site richer instead of dull. What the author could have done to make it better is that they could have made it more appealing to the people going to the site, and could’ve put a little more detail into what you are doing when you are trying the different activities.

I liked this site a lot! It was my favorite site. It was a lot of fun to try and solve the mystery and the way they presented the problems was a lot of fun to complete. I think anyone that has the knowledge or is learning about input and output tables should visit this site, because this site is very fun and you will understand everything after you have completed it. What was good about the sit was that it wasn’t boring, and I felt like I would be happy doing this for a while because it was really fun. I don’t think the maker of the site could’ve done anything better with it!

I liked this site because every time you solved a problem you could unlock a piece of the puzzle. People who would benefit from this site would be people who are studying it, or who are rusty on their skills. I liked the site because it was fun working to the finished puzzle, and the problems are hard enough to challenge me. I sort of would’ve liked to have a better picture to what I was working for the whole time, but it was OK.

I liked this site, but it wasn’t one of my favorites. After a while, it got boring to do. I think all people could benefit from this site, because a wide range of people understand the negative numbers and the positive numbers that you need to complete what they are asking of you. The site was good because it improves your skills of finding the answer to the problems of things you have to solve for. They could improve this site by adding animation.

I did not like the site because it was very confusing and I didn’t even get what I was supposed to be doing. I think older kids would benefit from the site because I didn’t not understand it. I didn’t find anything good about the site. The maker of the site should take away everything from the site except for the math.

The site http://www.bbc.co.uk/education/mathsfile/gameswheel.html is a fun math site to go on. I think that everyone will benefit from this site because it helps you a lot with everything in math! The good things about this site are they are fun games. I don’t really think the author needs to change anything.

I really didn’t like the site http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/ks3bitesize/maths/ . I didn’t like it because it was kind of confusing to me to figure out how to work it. I think everyone will be able to benefit to this site because it has the grade levels written next to each game. The good thing about this site is it is good for all grades. The thing the author should change is the organization I guess you can say.

The site http://www.visualfractions.com/ is just not for me so I really don’t like it and also it is confusing to understand. I think that this site benefits with anyone that’s needs help with fractions this will help them. The good thing about this site is it is good if you need help with fractions. The bad thing about it is only for fractions so you wouldn’t be able to do other math work on it!

I liked the site http://www.shodor.org/interactivate/activities/numbercruncher/ because it was fun to put numbers in. You probably think putting numbers in is fun? Well I think it has some entertainment in it! I don’t know what ages would benefit in this website. The good thing about it is you get to pick the numbers for the equation. But the bad thing about this website or the thing the author should keep in mind it’s the only thing that you do is equations, which will get boring after a while.

The site http://www.dositey.com/addsub/Mystery11.htm was surprisingly fun! It was fun because solving the equation and seeing if you get is correct is always fun. This site would be good for children learning about integers. The good thing about this site is that you learn about integers the bad thing about this site and the thing you need to change is um nothing!!!!!

I don’t know if I liked the site http://www.funbrain.com/cgi-bin/gn2.cgi?A1=s&A2=10&A3=0&A14=1&A15=1 of if I didn’t like it. One reason I liked is it challenges you. But I didn’t like it because it well hurt your head after a while! This is probably a site for 7th-8th because it is hard. It is a good site because it is challenging. To make the site better I think even though you get it wrong it changes to the next problem, and then after so many problems you see how many you get wrong and right.

I don’t get the website http://www.learningwave.com/abmath/hotel/index3a.html. So I don’t know what grades benefit on it. Also the author should make it easier to understand!

The Gameswheel was fun but weird in some ways. It contained a lot of fun games. It had many games, one of which I liked and was a challenge was Fish Tank, a good game to show examples of helping you having a better understanding of probability, decimals, fractions, ratios, and data handling. It is a good website when teaching in that area, and is a fun way of learning probability and other math stuff. Although it had a lot of good stuff, it was kind of weird, like a 4-year-old drew it up. And the wheel spinners looked creepy, maybe the British like them.

KS3 Bitesize had many good learning methods, but it way substantially boring. As I said before, it has many good learning methods, but it is boring because of the lack of fun. It is good for class computer time, but not for a boring kid who wants to play a fun math game/lesson at home in his spare time. And the games didn’t have anything to do with math. This website is basically a teacher’s based website and has almost everything you need to know for the fundamentals of math. You can benefit a lot of methods from this site.

Visual Fractions was also really boring, like KS3 Bitesize. It was even more boring than KS3 Bitesize, and it just explained math vocabulary and how to use them. It had no games, and had a bad design. It was cheap like. You can benefit much from this site also.

The Number Cruncher was fun and easy but had some confusing problems with the program. Like when I put a number to add to the input it still wouldn’t work. It had a problem which I recommend fixing. Other than that it was fun and could solve problems that would be hard and fun. And by hard I’m saying hard in a fun way. It’s a good way to improve your input/output skills.

The Mystery game was fun because it was challenging. Kids like me love challenging games. It was a lot of fun, although I recommend changing the pictures that are uncovered. Equations are kind of hard for me, and by each image it gets harder, and I like that. It is a cool website game, and is good for spare time for bored kids.

The Funbrain game is fun and tells you how many you got wrong and how many you got incorrect. You have to guess the answer which is also fun and cool. I think it’s a cool game. It has some hard parts to it, and on some questions you have to think it out for a long time. It is good for people who are unsure of their answers.

The Learning Wave Hotel thing is kind of weird but the story altogether is an equation problem. It is absurd and confusing, and some of its topics drive you off, but it’s a cool challenging problem to introduce a new concept to students. It’s a cool logic problem. It is fun and it would be a good recommended game for people who like how to identify funny-looking people, a fun extra-time game for people ages 10-14ish (just a guess).

The first game I played is fish tank, it was actually really hard. It was fun because it was fish and I love fish so that is why I picked it. It was probability but it was still challenging because I could not get the right amount of fish in the tank and I could not take any fish out of the tank. Fish rule!

This game is more of a school website that explains how things are done. There are no games in it but it might be used for someone who is being home schooled or for teachers trying to explain something.

The second was not very interesting it just showed you what fractions are and how to do all operations work with them, I did not like it because I already understand it. It would also be for teachers or parents who are trying to explain fractions to the children, as a helper.

The next game was kind of fun, but not as good as the fish tank game. You put in a number and then it comes out with another number. It was an input out put thing. It was pretty easy after the first two or three though. This would be for those who are trying to explain rules to others. For those who have trouble to explain the pattern.

The next game there was a picture covered by numbers and then math problems next to it, and you would match the math problems would be matched with the numbers covering the picture. It was the second best so far. The picture was of two animated fish swimming. (GO FISH!) It was kind of hard because some of the math problems got confusing. This is for those who might have trouble doing equations with both positive and negative numbers doing all four operations.

The next game was very easy, it was a fun brain game where they would give me a puzzle such as: When you add 10 then minus -4 what is the number? It was easy but at least there was a game there! This is for those who want to practice simple adding and subtracting with negative and positive.

This next game has a really cool picture of a massive spider and is a large word problem when put together. It is a sort of storyline explaining what to do in clues within the story line. It had many cool looking animations on it. It is something that would be good for are level, it is logic and logic can be challenging.

I did like the site http://www.bbc.co.uk/education/mathsfile/gameswheel.html; it is fun to play games on. I think that students our age are just practicing by using this site so I think that maybe sixth graders would benefit from this site. What was good about the site is that it has a variety of stuff to do. The animal Weigh in game helps you practice telling the differences between ounces, pounds, kilograms, and grams. The Saloon Snap helps you tell the difference between percents and decimals to tell if they are equal. I don’t think the author should change anything.

I really don’t like the site http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/ks3bitesize/maths/ because I didn’t really understand how you are supposed to play the interactive thingies. I don’t know who would benefit from the site because I didn’t play any games. The author of the site could have made it easier to understand how to play the games and he could have made it easier to get onto the actual game.

I did not like the fraction site http://www.visualfractions.com/ because eat first it was hard to figure out how to get to the game. I don’t think that I benefited from this site because all of the games that I tried were really easy, just stuff like adding and recognizing fractions. The author could make it easier to understand how to get to the games.

The website http://www.shodor.org/interactivate/activities/numbercruncher/ will not work on my computer. It said that Java has disabled my browser.

I liked the website http://www.dositey.com/addsub/Mystery11.htm because it is challenging. I would benefit us and probably regular seventh graders and advanced sixth graders because it requires you to add, subtract, multiply, and divide integers. The author could change the illustration thingy so that there are more answers and more problems.

I kind of like the site http://www.funbrain.com/cgi-bin/gn2.cgi?A1=s&A2=10&A3=0&A14=1&A15=1 because it is fun to play guessing games. I think that this website benefits maybe eighth graders because it is not something that a seventh grader could just do really easily off the top of their head. I think the author could change when you get the answer wrong that it explains why it is wrong instead of just saying it’s too high or too low.

I do not understand what you are supposed to do for the website http://www.learningwave.com/abmath/hotel/index3a.html. I couldn’t figure out what you are supposed to do and how it has to do with math. The author could change it by explaining how you play the game because it sounded like fun, but I didn’t know how to play.

This website is very helpful. It is not very challenging though. I think this site would benefit someone in 6th grade. I did like the games because they were very fun. I would make this site a little bit harder.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/ks3bitesize/maths/
I like this website because the tests are fun and easy. This site would benefit 5th graders. I did like they had tests and reviews for lots of subjects and games that were fun.

http://www.visualfractions.com/
I do like this website for fractions. This would benefit people learning about fractions. I hate website because the games are kiddy.

http://www.shodor.org/interactivate/activities/numbercruncher/
I don’t like this website because it’s only one game. This game would benefit people learning input and output only. I didn’t really like this game and add more games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

http://www.dositey.com/addsub/Mystery11.htm
I don’t like this website because all you have to do is click to things that match and make a stupid picture. This game would benefit 6th graders. I think the writer should make more games.

This website was not too exciting. Games that I enjoyed were Builder Ted although kind of confusing at some times, fish tank and Animal Weigh-In. I liked these games because they were Fun and had me thinking. The people (kids) that would benefit this website would probably be 5th and 6th graders because it’s practice for us not really a challenge and it would be something new for them to learn. What was good about this site was that it was good practice for me to have. The author should make this website more mature.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/ks3bitesize/maths/
I did and didn’t like this website. I liked this website because it explains things to you, but I didn’t like this website because the games were all childish and super easy. It wasn’t really practice. The people that would benefit most from this website would be 4th and 5th graders. I think this because it would be practice for 5th graders and practice for 4th graders. Like I said before what was good about this website was that it explain things out to you. What the creator of this website should do is well… I’m not really sure because if it is for a younger child then it would be great for them.

http://www.visualfractions.com/
I did not like this website because it was difficult to get to the games. But, once you got to them they were pretty easy!!! Not a challenge and hardly practice. The people that would benefit for this website would be 3rd and 4th graders because I think in those grades you start learning about fractions and that’s pretty much what the website is about. I liked this website because it’s pretty much all about fractions and if you are struggling with fractions you could just go to this website. The creator of this site needs to make it easier to get to the games.

http://www.shodor.org/interactivate/activities/numbercruncher/
I did like this website. It’s probably because I kind of like finding rules. I think this is maybe, because its one of my pro’s in math. This website would benefit 7th to 5th I think this because in 5th grade you start learning about rules and 6th grade you are constantly learning them and in 7th they became very useful. I liked this website because finding rules are kind of find to find. The creator doesn’t need to change anything about this website.

http://www.dositey.com/addsub/Mystery11.htm
I do not like this site. I don’t like it because I don’t know what I am doing they don’t give you a lot of directions so that doesn’t help at all and there is only ONE game. That’s really dull. This benefits 7th graders because that is when you start working with adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing negative and positive numbers. I didn’t like this site at all, and the creator needs to put MORE GAMES.

http://www.funbrain.com/cgi-bin/gn2.cgi?A1=s&A2=10&A3=0&A14=1&A15=1
I kind of liked this website because it’s always fun with guessing games. This benefits 5th to 8th graders. I think this because it is great practice for negative and positive numbers. I liked this sit because I like guessing game and it helps me practice me negative and positive adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing numbers and that is one of my cons in math. This creator shouldn’t do really anything to the site it is find how it is.

didn’t get to play this game

I really enjoyed the first site, about Pythagoras’s theorem. I learned a lot but at the same time I enjoyed doing it. With each game it helped you really understand what they are trying to teach you. But at the same time it wasn’t totally boring. One thing the author could do to improve his site is explain what you were supposed to be doing exactly. The author for this page kind of just told you a few things that didn’t really help you know what you were doing. That may be a good thing though because you had to figure out how to play what you were doing. Over all it was a good mathematical site, especially when you’re trying to teach those kids who don’t get much out of listening to someone teach.
P.S (I found Builder Bob kind of hard…and I didn’t enjoy seeing his crack every time he would climb the ladder! Not to enlightening)

http://www.visualfractions.com/
For the site about fractions, I WAS COMPLETELY CONFUSED. Especially with the find grampy or granny thing! I didn’t get it…they didn’t explain really well what to do. They had a lot in the instructions but I didn’t get it. I’m not one to get instructions if they explain a lot with numbers. I did enjoy the grampy’s cookies though. One of the easier ones…..it was more hands one though. I think that the author of the site could put more colors into his designs, word the instructions better, and put more variety to his games.

http://www.shodor.org/interactivate/activities/numbercruncher/
Mkay, so I really liked the game on this site! It was really cool because you got to pick your number and then you had to figure out what the machine did to it. I think anyone who played this game would benefit from it. Even if you were really good at it , this game is a really good way to practice. Especially if you had a test or something….YEAH there we go! It would be a really good study guide! One thing the author could do to improve his site would be put some instructions. I knew what to do right away, but that’s because I have dealt with this before. If you were to tell a little 5th grader who had never heard about these problems before, they would have no clue what to do. But uh, this was a pretty cool site!

http://www.dositey.com/addsub/Mystery11.htm
This site was really fun. It was good because you had to look at the equation and really think about what the answer would be. Then if you wanted to stop because you didn’t get it you kind of would keep going. Because you wanted to find out what the picture was! Its like getting a cookie after receiving an A on a test. This would be really good for kids who have trouble sticking to things, because there something at the end to drive you to complete your work. One thing the author could have done, for the younger kids is had a little side box where you could do work. Because for kids just learning, it would be hard to do some of those problems off the top of their head.

http://www.funbrain.com/cgi-bin/gn2.cgi?A1=s&A2=10&A3=0&A14=1&A15=1
I have mixed feelings about the game. I liked it because it challenges your brain but at the same time it’s a little too challenging for playing a game. Like if I’m going on the internet to play a game and I come across this one, I would probably stop playing after a while because I don’t want to work my brain that much. So, yeah its kind of an “eh” with me right now. I’m not sure about it.

http://www.learningwave.com/abmath/hotel/index3a.html
Say wahh????? I have no clue what so ever what we were supposed to be doing or learning for that site! So I have to say pretty much nothing about this site. Also the author needs to change the whole thing. I’m hoping I’m not the only one who didn’t get this! Ha-ha seriously I’m still confused and I’m not even on it anymore. That site really Urked my noodle!

Anonymous said...

I thought the first website was really cool because it was both fun and educational. It helped practicing math, but at the same time, seemed like a plain simple game. It also gave fun and interesting prizes for every completed game which was encouraging to play the game until you win. The math in it was also simple as to not frustrate people, but as the levels went on, got more challenging. To improve the website, the author could create more levels that are more challenging for people who easily complete the levels. For example, one of the games was so easy, but it only had 3 levels so I wasn’t really challenged. This website could probably be used by kids in younger grades such as 4th and 5th.
The second website wasn’t very interesting. It would probably be used by an adult or someone who likes to read a lot rather than play games. It was really boring. On the upside though, it was educational how it reviewed the strategies and then tested you on them. To improve the website, the author could probably put a game to help learn the strategy easier and in a more fun way.
The third website was educational about fractions, but extremely boring. The games it had were testing skills on fractions but weren’t entertaining at all. This website could probably be used by anyone learning about fractions. The author could probably improve the website by making the games a little more entertaining.
The fourth website was educational. The activity was great how it said you could guess the rule on the first try but should probably wait to get more information to be sure. Although this website was teaching, it could have been a little more fun. The author could improve the website by putting more games on the website and put directions on the activity. This website could be used by anyone learning to work with rules.

This website is a good mathematics website. I like this website because it has some good game like Animal Weigh In and others. It also has categories like Number, Algebra, Data Handling, and Shape Space and Measure. Anybody can benefit from this site. Even adults because the Animal Weigh In helps with the measurement like pounds to ounces and others. The only thing that I would want him to change is to put more detail in the tips that the author gives use.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/ks3bitesize/maths/number/index.shtml

I did not like this website very much. Some reasons are that on the tests the are always the same and do not change. You can hardly benefit anything about the website because you can find a pattern on a test and always do it. I would tell the author to change the test every time the person tries it so there is no pattern.

http://www.visualfractions.com/Games.htm

I kind of liked this website but it had a few things I don’t like. I don’t think anybody can really benefit from it because the find grampy game is not really affective for me because all it is, is guessing where he is. I would tell the author to change the cookie game because you can not remove any pieces.

http://www.shodor.org/interactivate/activities/numbercruncher/

I liked the website because it can help you with the equations. Kids learning equations can benefit from this site because it helps you with equations. I would tell the author to change the website by making it in levels so if it is too easy you can go to harder levels.

http://www.dositey.com/addsub/Mystery11.htm

I do not like this website because it is really weird and once you solve the problems you are done with the game. I think kids can benefit from it because if they are having trouble with the problems they can use this to help and if it is wrong they can try again. The only thing I would change on this website is that you got graded so if you missed you got marked down.

Happy Friday ladies and gentlemen,

Today I have provided a list of links for you to explore. I would like you to visit all of the sites listed. Complete the activities and then post a review of each of the sites.

Explain:
Did you liked the site and why?
Who would benefit from the site and why?
What was good about the site and what might the author of the page do to improve the
mathematics on the site.
Make sure to support your argument with examples from the sites

Website 1: I think that the first website had a lot of fun games that were also helpful for learning math. I would benefit from this website because I think it’s a fun website and would be helpful in reviewing for tests because it makes learning fun. I don’t think that there is really much to improve on the website except that I wish that it had more games involving geometry.

Website 2: I think that this website was pretty fun because it had a lot of info and it had lots of games. I think that people who would like to have a site where there are lots of games where you can take a break from learning for a few minutes if you need to. The site didn’t have very much I would change about it because it had lots of info and games, but I would have less tests.

Website 3: I liked this website because it was a good way to learn about fractions and the games were fun. I think that anyone who wanted to learn about fractions through games would benefit from the site. I think that the author of this website could add some things that aren’t just games, or some tests.

Website 4: I did not like this site at all because it was not very fun and it was confusing and boring. I don’t think that anyone would benefit from this site because it is so confusing and it leaves games for you to figure out how to play. This website needs more games and also needs more info.

Website 5: I did not think that this website was very good because it only had one game and I didn’t like it because it was so easy to win. I don’t think that anyone would benefit from this site because it was so easy to win, that you won’t learn anything. This website needs different games and it also needs to have a penalty for when you get problems wrong, like you would have to go back a problem or two.

Website 6: I like this website because it has lots of really fun games that you can play and it’s a pretty good way to learn about different subjects.

I thought this website was extremely gloomy. I went to the page and both characters looked depressed. I did like the website because it had a lot of games, the author could’ve improved the games and website a little more challenging. Most people that would benefit out of this website would be 4-7 graders. Because the games really help you understand.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/ks3bitesize/maths/

I sort of liked this website but it could’ve done better with the examples. I’d say that most people who would benefit from this website would have to be 3-6 graders because it doesn’t have much advanced mathematics. The author could improve by putting a little more games.

http://www.visualfractions.com/

I didn’t really like this website because it was sort of confusing like I go there and it says something about connecting with your inner fractions. The author could’ve also made it a little more kids like by putting more pictures and things that’ll make the player understand. Most 4-5 graders would benefit from this website because they’re mostly learning about fractions.

http://www.shodor.org/interactivate/activities/numbercruncher/

I liked this website it was cool, although it could’ve had some instructions to tell the person who visited the website what to do. Pretty much anyone who has to find rules can benefit from this website. The author could’ve made it better by putting other things like equations or maybe even fractions.

http://www.funbrain.com/cgi-bin/gn2.cgi?A1=s&A2=10&A3=0&A14=1&A15=1

I liked this website it reminded me of a previous P.O.W. They could’ve put more ways of math though, they only have the guess a number. Anyone could probably use this website because the questions they ask are sometimes challenging.

I believe that different levels of the different games on this website are for different grades. Level 1 is for 3-4, level 2 is for 5-6, level is for 7-8. Some things that need improvement is giving the people better attitudes, they all look somewhat depressed.
Over all I think it’s a good website.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/ks3bitesize/maths/
It says on the website what grade the revise and tests. It has few games that I don’t like. Much improvement could happen, like get more games and better ones for helping learn a concept. Also the test idea is isn’t a personal good idea. I see way but when the revise is sit there and read and the games aren’t very good, it just doesn’t work.

http://www.visualfractions.com/
The games on this website where hard to get. The site is all about fractions and can be good to use if you need to know more about fractions. I think the biggest improvement needed is the games, they need more and they need to be easier to understand. This website is good, but only for fractions.

http://www.shodor.org/interactivate/activities/numbercruncher/

I don’t know what I think about this website because when I try to go to it, it says that other java systems are doing the same action and caused an error, every time when no one else is doing it! So they need to fix that for an improvement, a big improvement.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/education/mathsfile/gameswheel.html is good because of the fun and funny games they will appeal to children of all ages. Younger children will benefit from this site because it will relate to math problems in class but in a funnier way. Older children will benefit from this sight because it will help them brush up on their skills. I also think the author did a good job with the sight making different skill levels for everyone and I think does not need to improve the mathematics of the website but the author does need to give better directions for the game. For example planet hop helps with your Algebra skills. Planet Hop has three different skill levels for the type of person playing the game. The game is pretty simple finding the coordinate points and then finding the equation but it should still have directions for explaining the game.

h//www.bbc.co.uk/schools/ks3bit
/I did not enjoy http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/ks3bitesize/maths/ the website seemed welcoming but the games were boring. The math problems feel more like a test then a game. The website has benefits because it has many games to improve your mathematic skills on. The author needs to make games for all players. The games seem more like they want you to hate math instead of loving it but they can improve your. For example if you do any math games everything is black and white like whole number two instead of having colors and pictures.

I enjoyed http://www.visualfractions.com/ the web sight was kind of bland but I enjoyed the fun fraction games. All could benefit from this sight but younger children might think the sight is boring when they first see it. The benefits will give you better fraction skills by relating everyday things with math. I like the games and don’t think the author needs to improve the mathematics of the sight. For example cookies for grandpa shows how pieces of cookie can relate to fractions.

The first game I played was builder Ted. This game helps you on putting numbers in numerical order. They go from negative to positives on level three. This game was rather easy because I know that in negatives, the higher the number, the lower the value is.

This website basically just informs you about everything you need to know about math. They tell you how to do what you looking for and then give you an example of it.

On the third website, it just shows how to use fractions. I already know how to recognize and do fractions so I didn’t find this site very interesting.

This website was a picture covered with numbers on the left side, and on the right side were the math problems. You had to find the answer of the problems and match them with the answers on the left side. I like this site because I like solving problems.

On the next website, you have to find the beginning number by looking at the steps the magician gave you and working your way backwards from that.

On the last website, you have to go to each of the rooms and put in the answer for the question that they are asking for. You pick up the item and then go to the next room. I am stuck in the third room so far.

I liked the games on games wheel. They required thinking but were fun at the same time. It benefits almost everyone because of the variety of levels for each game. It probably makes kids want to play because of the prizes they can win if they beat the level. Also the harder the level you beat, the better the prize is so it encourages kids to keep practicing and get better so they could win the prizes.

I didn’t like the games on Ks3bitesize. It benefits 3rd graders because it seems like the material is third-grade material. For example, What is 3/5 of 200? That was easy. The author should make the answers have little buttons to press on because it was confusing on what I was supposed to click to choose an answer. The games did not have a different difficulty setting so I couldn’t play a game on a harder difficulty.

I liked Visual Fractions. I believe it is a fourth grade level because the fractions were simple like 1/5 and1/2. It wasn’t like 3/11 or something akin to that. The games were easy to comprehend without instructions but there was no complexity setting. I think the Author did well on the creating of the games.

I liked the game of number cruncher. It is probably a third grade level because you had to find the input output rule. The rules were easy like +1 to input = output. It had no options to different difficulties or games. I think it was a nice try creating the game but I think it could have been a little better planned.

I didn’t really like the game on Mystery11. It was too easy. It was probably for a 5th grader though. You had to match the equation with the solution to create a picture but the picture was easy to find out once you solved the first couple of equations. The author didn’t take a lot of time into it and I think he should have a harder difficulty and different pictures, not just a fish.

I didn’t like the game on fun brain. It was too easy. It was the level of a 2nd grader. It wasn’t that complex. Like, there wasn’t a story to it, it was just, solve the problem, we are keeping track of your score. That was a boring game.

I liked the game. It was my level. It was cool how much thinking you had to do. I liked the story and the problems. The author did a wonderful job designing and creating this masterpiece.

1st website
It was a blast it would keep us kids entertained. It’s not just educational it’s exciting, like when you get them all right you click prize and you see silly and odd prizes. Also when you’re taking your time weird things kind of either walk by or pop out. A lot kids struggle with some things in math but this website teaches you the skills you need and you have a great time doing it!

2nd website
I thought the 2nd website wasn’t that fun as the first. It was also a lot easier then the first too. I think games to teach kids should be fun and educational, this one is more educational than fun!

3rd website
I personally hate this website. It is totally and utterly BORING. It looks like an old website for kids that were forced to learn or else. Education is important, but when its not fun kids don’t like to learn that way, so I wouldn’t recommend one bit.

4th website
I couldn’t get on this, the JavaScript crashed and I didn’t want to reload 500 more times, so I can’t give a review.

5th website
This game was HARD it made me think! It was also very dull, in its presentation, and there’s only ONE GAME. It was very boring to play; it should be introduced to an adult not a kid.

6th website
It was alright. The game was kind of challenging, but sort of fun in its own way. I also wouldn’t consider this website to a child, but I would to some.

7th website
I didn’t know where I was going. It was confusing to brows the site. The game I was supposed to play didn’t make any sense and I had gotten lost in the process. It needs to be less confusing and easy for anyone that decides to play it. I personally dislike it.

This site was very fun but I have to admit some of the games were boring for example the game fish tank, all you do is count fish, put in #’s, and see the probability… that’s just plain BORING. Then there’s games like equation match that really give you a challenge!!! I think this site would be best for us and mostly little kids because a couple of them are fun and harder, but most of the games would definitely fit a 6th grader. The way they set up the web page was a plus and the variety of math games was also. As far as the improvements I would say to improve the games and make them more challenging and make them more fun otherwise this website is a lonely one.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/ks3bitesize/maths/
I really like this website because it gives you many varieties and choices when it comes to levels of the games. Also it doesn’t really have a lot of cool stuff on it because its kind of pland. I think our grade and all the way to 4th graders could use it because it even says it in the games and it would definitely help them learn. I would add more decorations on the website because it’s ordinary and boring. Also I would make it so it’s easier to get to the games because it’s kinda hard.

http://www.visualfractions.com/
I really like this website because it’s fun to play!!!! But it’s kind of hard to get to it at first you have to look for the games…hehehe. I think this site is more for 4th graders because it has fractions and we learned that a LONG time ago. Ummmm I would improve it by making it harder that way we could use these fun games to.

http://www.shodor.org/interactivate/activities/numbercruncher/
I don’t really like this one because for me it’s kinda hard and I’m not good at that kinda stuff but for others maybe. I think it would be a 7th graders thing and maybe an advanced 6th grader because it’s kinda hard but there maybe people out there in 4thv grade that can figure this out.

http://www.dositey.com/addsub/Mystery11.htm
This one I absolutely hate because I cannot understand it at all. I tried to figure out the problems and had the right answer and went to click and it didn’t work??? Hmmm..okay. Honestly I think it works for 6th graders because that’s when you start to get introduced into that kind of stuff. (Multiplying and subtracting positive and negative numbers). If I were the author I would improve it so its more self explanatory and makes better sense.

http://www.funbrain.com/cgi-bin/gn2.cgi?A1=s&A2=10&A3=0&A14=1&A15=1
I kind of liked it because it made you think because you have to think of a specific number that fits in the problem. I think this would be for 7th graders because its advanced and I don’t think 6th graders would get this
